Title: Red Lion Court, Fleet Street
Post by: stewart_M on Saturday 18 September 10 14:31 BST (UK)
I have a photo of my great grandfather taken around 1908-1914 showing him and his colleagues standing in front of their shop, Carlish's American Tailors in Red Lion Square, Fleet Street.  Does anyone know anything about this shop or if there are any websites detailing Victorian/Georgian london tailors shops.

Regards

Stewart

I found this bit of general information which I found quite interesting background:
http://www.victorianlondon.org/publications/westlondon-2.htm#CHAPTER VII
may not be directly relevant.  Interesting question - I too have London tailors.  Hope you get lots of info.
