Just do as C P Rayson says.
If its Win7 then you`ll need to check whether its 32 bit or 64 bit to obtain the correct driver & software.

A slight digression but it does concern Windows 7 and a printer albeit a Pixma 210 from Canon. I expected problems when I installed it on my new computer, but things went (from memory) like this. Obsolete driver, searching for updated driver, downloading updated driver, installing updated driver, your printer is now ready for use! Next time if needs be I shall definitely get another Canon printer.
