Hi,
I visited "The Old Burial Gound" Manthorpe Rd on Sept 12th which is the overspill of St Wulframs Church .I.E. Burials 1812-1857(before the main cemetary was opened)it is only open 1 day a year by the Heritage Society.
Whilst there I took some photo's of the gravestones that were still readable the surnames were.

If anyone wants a photo of headstone or an alphabetical list of all known buriels that was compiled by N.Knapp & P Tuxworth in 1979 & info supplied by Grantham branch of Lincolnshire Family History Society 2000 (which has other names on but no photos.please send PM.

The only Croft listed is Azubah died 15/May/1817 aged 29.Sorry no more info on list.

I realise this is a very late request but I have just stumbled across this thread.
The Manthorpe Road Burial Ground is where my GGGrandfather is buried.
John Simpson - d1841. Simpson is mentioned in Kathy's list of photos she took there.
Manthorpe Road ground is only open once a year so it is very difficult to visit - if anyone can point me to Kathy for a pm I'd be very grateful.

It is a good way of archiving and sharing records, particularly if there are photographs, although it can be time consuming. I have added some for Bourne, Market Deeping and Bitchfield.
