My great great grandmother Elizabeth (Eliza) Holmes was married twice. Firstly to John Farrell in 1856 and then my great great grandfather John Rattigan in 1861. Both marriages took place in Strokestown, County Roscommon.
I've only recently learned that Eliza had 2 children from her first marriage - Mary in 1857 and Patrick in 1858. I have just discovered records online for Patrick Farrell - he married Mary Winn in 1894 in Providence, Washington, Rhode Island and had a son John in 1895 and a daughter Marie or Mary in 1899.
Now I'm wondering what happened to Mary Farrell? Did my great great grandmother's daughter survive?
Any help with the Farrell's is greatly appreciated.

Hi Roisin
I have been searching with little success for a birth record in 1857 in Strokestown. I have viewed records and there appear to be clusters of records missing, during that time, so I can only assume that his was amongst the "missing" ones, perhaps Marys is too, but Im not giving up yet !!

Hi, i've just googled Mary Farrol - the said lady in question was from Roscommon but lived in Manchester and looked after my Nana and her family called the Roddy's who came from Lisacul in Roscommon. I know your Mary Farrell is spelt different but just thought it might be a coincidence!
