Hi Helen
The following website contains a brief history of the Manitoba Agricultural College, which is now part of the University of Manitoba. At the very bottom of the page is contact information.
http://umanitoba.ca/afs/overview.html
I think the cnn466 is actually C.N.R. 466 which refers to the Canadian National Railroad which would be their means of transportation from Halifax to Winnipeg.

Hi Helen,
Unfortunately, I don't think you are going to find much in the way of BMDs for Manitoba. There is no central registry as there is in the UK -- each province handles its own records and some provinces are more research-friendly than others. Also, Canada has very strict privacy laws and they vary from one province to another.
In Manitoba, the only public records are births more than 100 years, marriages more than 80 years and deaths more than 70 years. The vital stats site is http://vitalstats.gov.mb.ca/Query.php
The Winnipeg Free Press has a subscription archive site where you can search old newspapers for articles or notices of births, deaths and marriages. I think there is a weekly subscription plan for around $10 Cdn. The site is http://archives.winnipegfreepress.com/
I'm afraid I can't think of any other avenues for you follow than what I've mentioned already. Good luck with your research.

Did you manage to trace his family??
This family was featured on tuesdays edition of Heir Hunters and Reginald was the only line they could'nt trace, all they said on the programme was that he went to Canada in 1930 they could not pick up the trail

Hi George Yes I tryed to trace Reginald in Oct of last year and found he went to canada to some college for farming

I am just wondering why you are looking to track him down, and what your connection is to him? Sandra, you seem to know he had an alternative name, Blake. How did you discover this? Also, how do you know exactly where he was born?
Very interesting,
Thanks

Yes, I saw that the estate was featured on Heir Hunters. I understand he changed his name in Canada, married and had a number of children. I am his grandson, he passed away in 1998. I never knew much about him, but just started doing some digging lately. Would like to know when, and why he changed his name.
