Title: Buckthorp
Post by: JackieV on Sunday 12 September 10 17:53 BST (UK)
I am looking for proof of Charles Buckthorp's baptism, my great great grandfather.

I have been unable to trace his birth although the census tells me he was born in Lincoln. Can anyone help me here?

Interestingly, there appears to have been an earlier marriage shortly after the 1861 census-

1 July 1861, Lincoln (St Mary le Wigford)
Chales BUCKTHORP (son of Henry) to Elizabeth Susanna CARLILL (dau of Thornton)

Elizabeth Susannah BUCKTHORP was buried 20 Sept 1868 aged 27 at Canwick Rd Cemetery.  Presumably, she was the mother of Rosanna and Clara.  One baptism is in the IGI http://tinyurl.com/2uuht2w
