Hi There...

Joseph Tiley , should have been on board The Ship "Lochgoil" which sailed from Vancouver BC , and arrived in Seattle , Washington on May 26th 1929.....He was still a galley boy

His name has been crossed out , and the words "In hospital, Cristobal CZ , May 2nd " written in
He was not to be paid off , so they must have been expecting him back.

Hi Haydon,
I'm hesitant to post this, but I'll add i anyways on the chance that it may be your uncle.

Joseph George Tiley b 1909, white male, British died 17 Dec 1927 and was buried 20 Dec 1927 Corozal cemetery.

What a terrific outcome for you haydon  ;D

Well done  ;D JeannieR and cntrygrl (glad you overcame the hesitation, cntrygrl - it is a perfect fit)

I learned something new from this to add to the bookmarks, too.

Seems you would order a death certificate via US State Dept in Washington DC :
