Title: Hull Holy Trinity, Marriage in 1810 and Birth in 1812
Post by: ucdom on Saturday 11 September 10 12:40 BST (UK)
Hello

If anyone has access to the Hull Holy Trinity parish registers, I'd appreciate some more information concerning the following;

the marriage of James Allon to Mary Ann Richardson on Feb 8th 1810 (anything about parents or witnesses please)

the birth of James R. Allon, baptised 5 Nov 1812 (and died 1868) - what's the 'R' ??

Thanks in advance

Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Sorry I cant help with Christenings etc but the R possibly stands for James Richardson Allon.
On the 1841 Census is Ann Howlett and Husband James and children are living with the Allens/Allons.
Marriage;
Ann ALLEN, Father JAMES
James HOWLETT, married 27 June 1838, Holy Trinity, Kingston upon Hull, Yorks
(IGI Extracted)

1851 census Mary Ann, Widower, says she is born c 1789, Hull, Yorks

I hope someone come up with info for you :)

'the R possibly stands for James Richardson Allon'

Maybe, but I would never say it without evidence.

No R recorded on this Record
