Hi
Has anyone heard of a place called Laywick or Legwick in Wiltshire. The 1891 census place of birth for my G Grandfather has been transcribed as Legwick, Wiltshire but I think it looks more like Laywick and I haven't been able to find any information for either. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hi Mev,
It might be Lacock. Have a look at the Wiltshire OPC site, www.wiltshire-opc.org.uk for a full listing of parishes.

Hi LC
Thank you so much...I do believe you may be right it could well be Laycock and as on earlier census he has given his birth place as Chippenham it would be in the right area.
