Title: Do you know where North Centre,Cork is?

Just hoping that some one will be able to help me.

 My G Grandmother was christened in 1871 at 129, 3 North Centre,Cork.

I have googled the address but haven't been able to find any information.  I can't seem to find out where this would be, although I'm pretty sure it was in Cork City.

I don't know if it was an RC church or a COI church.

If any one can give me any ideas I would be most grateful.

what's the source of this ?

If it's from the IGI/familysearch then the 129 is possibly the page number in the civil register, and North Central the sub-registration district.

You're right, it is from the IGI website, and now I feel really dumb! Why didn't I think of that? No surprise then that nothing came up when I googled it!

Would you have an idea of the area  sub reg district North Central covers?

I'd say somewhere north Cork city - but probably includes a large area  of the city.

If you search the civil index for the same name and date you should be able to find a civil cert reference (with a matching page number), which can be used to order a birth cert. This will include a proper address, father's occupation etc

Hi Trish.  Did you get any further on obtaining a birth certificate with address on of Catherine Sullivan nee Wiseman married to John Sullivan.  We have chatted some years back.  Patrick Sullivan.

I haven't obtained a birth record for Elizabeth Sullivan as yet. I have requested a copy of the marriage record of John Sullivan and Catherine Wiseman. Hoping I should receive it shortly.

cork civil registration district no 3 [north centre ] no 4 [ north west ] etc.

Have found out is was likely to be Blackpool area, Cork.
