Title: Margaret McCormick from Shaws Parish, Eastwood Renfrewshire,

Found a marriage for my ancestor Margaret McCormick from Shaws Parish,Eastwood,  Renfrewshire where she married someone with the surname McNally/McAnally. I found a marriage in a catholic church in Glasgow in 1835. I presume she died before the 1851 census as her husband was remarried in 1851. Her youngest son was born in October 1842.

I'm looking for any help regarding her early life in Shaws Parish or any details about her family. The witnesses at her wedding were Peter and Anne McCormick however I don't know how they were related.

Edited to include Eastwood. I would be grateful if anyone knows anything about Shaws Parish, Eastwood and what records they hold for that period. Many thanks.

pollokshaws before 1912 was in the parish of eastwood renfrewshire.the only catholic church is st marys on shawhill rd. the site you can find more info on pollokshaws is the pollokshaws heritage group it also has old photos.

another site to try is google the mitchell library and click on area search then pollokshaws
