I am trying to find a marriage and birth details for Edward Cameron and his spouse Margaret. They baptised 5 children at Egremont in the period 1784 to 1799.
Robert 13 has searched for a marriage 1782- 84 in the Egremont parish register but has failed to find one.
I have found three Cameron children baptised at Camerton on IGI
John 1751
Edward 1754
and Joseph 1756 with a father John and no mother named.
The names are similar to those used by Edward and Margaret at Egremont and the families may be linked.
Are there Parish records for Camerton giving marriage details and any other cameron children ?
The first child that I have for Edward and Margaret at Egremont is Joseph, baptised 4 Jan 1794. If this Edward is the one at Camerton in 1854 he would have been aged 30. Possible but there may also have been earlier children.
If there is a memorial at Egremont it would help to establish his birth and death dates.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have found the link in resources to Moresby and Workinton marriages and Edward Cameron and Margaret are not included there.

Robert has again contacted me and has looked at the Camerton records for me but has only found the baptism for Edward Cameron, April 1754, father John Cameron.
Thank you Robert for your search efforts on my behalf. They are greatly appreciated.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how I may find any further information for a mariage for Edward Cameron and Margaret about 1780- 1784 ???

Hi,
For completeness then a Margaret Cameron was buried at Egremont 28.9.1817 aged 62 years.

Thank you for the information on Margaret's buriel. I am sure that is the Margaret Cameron that I am following. Strangely there is no record for Edward's buriel. I am told that at some period there was a mine cavein and some of the gravestones at St Mary Egremont disappeared down a mineshaft. Maybe that is where he has gone.
Margaret's age at death gives a birth date of about 1755,
which reinforces my belief that Edward must be the one baptised at Camerton in 1754.
A marriage is really what I need , to find Margaret's maiden name and help tie it all together.
