My husbands Gt Grandfather Daniel Parker Chapman died on 21/02/1952 in South Wootton, Freebridge Lynn R.D...Norfolk..He was a Retired Superintendent of Police..
We have tried to find where he is buried/cremated but with no luck..We have tried Kings Lynn cemetery/crematorium, the local churchyard in South Wootton, The churchyard in Brancaster where he was born but still no luck....He stayed in Norfolk for all of his life so we really don't know where else to try..
We have also looked in the newpaper for his obit seeing as he was in the Police force but we couldn't find it!!! This has been bugging us for at least 3 yrs now...Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this mystery?
Thanks

You said you looked for obituaries, did you look in the personal adverts for notice of his death and possibly where the funeral was to be held?

We are hoping to go to Norfolk at some point to take another look at the papers...We are also waiting on his Police service record..It may have some details in the record...
Here's hoping!!
