You could try The Brandon Center, I think this covers Cheddleton area, ask to
be put through to bereavement services, then explain you are looking for a
burial in Cheddleton, giving the details.
I think this is the correct tel.no.:01538-481200.
They should know the correct bereavement services no, if this is the wrong one. Good luck!

Hi Clive,
I cannot help with Samuel's burial but found this online that might be of interest to you.
www.staffsnameindexes.org.uk
if you put in the surname Reece, Samuel's details come up for ordering his police details from the Staffordshire Police Force Registers 1842-1920.
Best wishes

Thanks Cathy and Julian for your replies.
I have Samuels police record but alas no photograph.I have also applied for his death certificate but Im not sure what new information it will give me.
with regards to his burial and that of his wife Martha I am still searching but no luck as yet.
thanks again Clive.
If anyone is searching for any Staffordshire police descendants have a look a the Staffordshire national association of retired police officers(Narpo) they have a wonderful collection of old photographs.

Hi Clive,
when you have the exact date for Samuel's death , you might find an obituary for him and might get lucky with a photo attached.
I do not know which newspaper Cheddleton news would appear in.
Best regards

Thanks to everyone who contacted me with my search.I have at last found my great grandfathers grave in Cheddleton Staffordshire.I was wondering if anyone lives in or near the village and would be kind enough to take a photograph of the grave for me , as I live in Spain.
I have the plot details and name of the church.
