Milltown in NE Galway, between Tuam & Claremorris...
No urgency with this, just if there's someone who'd like to look for a headstone and it's convenient...
It's a family who attended Milltown RC Church late 19th Century.(from Stripe townland).
Michael Gallagher died  between 1901-1911. age 70 or 80
Wife Catherine died sometime after 1911, age 70 or 80.
Anything on earlier/later generation also appreciated. Please don't feel obliged
Thanks

Have you looked at the census for the Milltown area for 1901 or 1911.
Stripe is in the Addergoole DED and a search on www.nationalarchives.ie for 1901 returns the following 4 records:
Gallagher Catherine Stripe North Addergoole Galway 60 F
Gallagher Peter Stripe North Addergoole Galway 20 M
Gallagher Micheal Stripe North Addergoole Galway 65 M
Gallagher Bridget Stripe North Addergoole Galway 22 F .
and in 1911, a search yields:
Gallagher Catherine Stripe, North Addergoole Galway 35 F Co Galway
Gallagher Catherine Stripe, North Addergoole Galway 77 F Co Galway
Gallagher Peter Stripe, North Addergoole Galway 36 M Co Galway
Gallagher Ellen Stripe, North Addergoole Galway 1 F Co Galway
Gallagher Mary Kate Stripe, North Addergoole Galway 2 F Co Galway
The important thing to note if you decide to search church records etc is that the Milltown area is under ADDERGOOLE + LISKEEVY parish around the period you're interested in.
Any idea which graveyard in Milltown - Kilgevrin, Kilclooney..... and there might be a third graveyard in the parish....someone else might help out here.
Best of luck

Thanks Ballyheeragh, for your detailed reply. Yes that's the same family. Perhaps I could have mentioned...
...that I'd checked those sources already.  :) ;D
  :) But thanks...
I guess it was the graveyard used during the early 1900s.
If it's like other places, there's probably a much newer graveyard being used nowadays, as you suggest in your post.

There are three graveyards in Milltown parish- Kilclooney, Kilgevrin and Adergoole all of which have been used for years so your best bet might be adergoole on Milltown- Dunmore road.

Have a look in google maps. Start with Tuam area in North county Galway and go north to village of Milltown.
Stripe North is about 1km NE of Milltown on Galway/Mayo border. Addergoole is 2/3km east of Milltown. The graveyard is very old but many gravestones were cleaned up a few years ago.
