Looking for Albert James Cox born 1874, but do not know where. Turned up in Rotherham Yorkshire in 1919 and had 5 children with Ethel May formerly Middleton born 1890 Nottingham. Albert died in Rotherham in 1939. Cannot find record of a marriage, but all children's birth certificates show Albert as father. Some sources suggest that he was born in Hampshire.

I suspect that that Albert J is Albert John:

COX  Albert John     
Alverstoke  2b 535 
(Alverstoke RD was succeeded by Gosport RD)

GRO Marriages DEC Qtr 1896   
Cox  Albert John  Portsea 2b 930
Harcus Ada Portsea 2b 930

There's an Ada HARCUS of the right age in earlier censuses, born Southsea ('81) or Portsmouth ('91).

Hello theres an Albert Cox born 1874 Wrangle, Lincolnshire living in Nottingham district in the 1901 census living with him is a wife Melodia L Cox and no children,I will look in other census for the Wrangle connection.
