I am looking for information on John Huntbatch Morris.  He married Priscilla Jackson on 18 June 1859 at Parish Church St Peters Derby.  I have him on the 1871 Census.  He did spend time in India.  I am chasing his birth & death details.  Father: William Huntbatch Morris.  Sister: Ann Huntbatch Morris

Can you give us the census reference (Class/Piece/Folio/Page) for 1871.  That will help to identify the correct John H Morris as he doesn't seem to have used his second name in full.

1851 has 2 John Morrises of right age, bn B'ham with father called William. No sign of the middle name though

Ann is listed as witness on John & Priscilla's Marriage certificate.
Emma was one of John & Priscilla's children.  She married George Hawke.

The 1861 census reference is correct.  RG 9/2505 Folio 2 page 4 GSU Roll 542981.

On the 1871 Census, John is listed as Norris.  RG 10/3573 Folio 76  Page 4 GSU roll 839770.  Address 19 Bloomfield street Litchurch.

Priscilla is listed on 1881 census but no John.  RG 11/3404 Folio 87 Page 7 GSU roll 1341814.

with Priscilla's  parents Joseph & Mary and 2 unmarried sisters Ann & Mary (all Jackson)

Priscilla is shown as Married

BTW the reference is RG11/3403/87/7

John is not listed with Priscilla on the 1881 census.  Not sure where to look for him.  On 1891 census (Class: RG12; Piece: 2736; Folio 11; Page 15; GSU roll: 6097846) no John listed and I can't make out if Priscilla is married or widowed.
Anyone able to make it out or have ideas on where to look for John.

Judging by the other entries on the page for "Wid" I'd say she is widowed in 1891.
