Hello

I have quite a bit on Robert up to 1901, would like to know anything after this please, e.g. 1911, which estate, death etc.

All I have on Hughina Fraser is the 1901 census, and that I believe they were fisher folk.

William, I didn't know he existed until 1901 census, so anything please.

Mary Ann, was my wife's grandmother but we know little about her. I have her birth cert and marriage to Robert Ross 1928 at Tain, she had a son John Grant (Walker) 17/08/1920 supposedly born in Tain, but I have no records of him prior to 1942.

Hi from Ross-shire :)

Have you got their marriage ~

Robert Grant and Hughina Fraser married in Inverness in 1893.

The IGI (www.familysearch.org)  has a birth for Hughina Fraser on 1 Dec 1872,Tarbat by Fearn, Ross and Cromarty.  Her parents are given as Alexander Fraser and Mary Ross.

Alexander Fraser and Mary Ross married in Tarbat by Fearn on 27 Sept 1864

Children of this couple (to 1875 on IGI) are
1865 - Alexander and Mary
1866 - Ann
1868 - James
1872 - Hughina
1874 - James

All b. Tarbat

Full details of these marriages and births  can be downloaded from www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk  it will cost 6 credits (=£1.20) for each cert viewed/downloaded.

Although I know Ross and Cromarty quite well, these  events are on the east side and I don't know the local sources of that side so well.

I don't see a birth registration for a John Grant or Walker in Tain 1918-1925

I see that ev looked back in 2008 and had the same results as me:

The Scottish 1911 census will not be available until sometime in 2011

It looks as if Hughina Grant (other name Fraser) died in 1941, Kincardine, Ross and Cromarty.

I think this is Hughina's mother and siblings in 1871:

6 Chapel Street, Tarbat
83 ED 2 P 2

Fraser
Mary, 29, fisherman's wife
Ann, 5
James, 3
Mary, 7 moths

All b. Tarbat
