Title: Marriage look up pre 1837
Post by: dusty on Saturday 21 August 10 05:56 BST (UK)
I'm needing some help in locating the following marriage pre 1837

John Henry Shields married Sarah Millard, possible location St.Mary's Lambeth.
Their first child Sarah was born in 1813
On the 1841 census the family was living at Bridge Rd, Lambeth

Any help appreciated,
Thanks

There was a marriage for Jno Sheilds and Sarah Millard in 1810 St Dunstan in the West. Maybe someone else could find more information on the  details if they have access to the PR's.

Frances :)

Hi

The banns called at St Mary Lambeth in 1813 were for John Romley Shields and Sarah Millard but no subsequent marriage

The St Dunstan in the West marriage entry

4th February 1810
John Shields
Sarah Millard
Bachelor and spinster of the parish
Married by banns
Both Signed
Witnesses Samuel Millard and ? Sadler

There seems no evidence on the subsequent baptisms of a middle name for John who was a wire worker, or for a middle name on his children's marriages at St Mary Lambeth. There is a possible burial for John at St Mary's Lambeth in 1850.

Regards

Valda
