Hello,
Can anyone help. Cannot find a marriage record for the following.
John Ropkins and Hannah Crane.
Also a Birth record for Hannah Crane. Her burial record in London says she was born approx 1742.
The first child born to John And Hannah Ropkins was 1770 in Saint Paul, Norfolk so assume the marriage was around that period. The next children were born in St Edmund, Norfolk so assume these are the areas to focus on but have not found anything.
If anyone can shed any light would be appreciated.
I have checked under variations, Ropkyns, Robkins, etc.
Many thanks
Nikw

Freereg has them marrying in St Pauls Norwich 24 December 1769. A Hannah Crane was born 31 August 1739 and baptised 2 September at St George's Tombland, Norwich to parents Christopher and Mary Crane.
You might be able to find the image on the familysearch pilot site. A lot of the Norwich parishes can be found there.
Best wishes, Kaysii

Hi NikW
Marriage Record appears on Free Reg as follows:
24/12/1769 at St Paul, Norwich
John Ropkins (single) and Hannah Crane(single)
Witnesses were James Hopkins and John Swanton
Notes say Groom signed Hopkins and that both signed with an X, married by banns
Hope that helps
