Title: St. Clements Parish Registers-WILLIAMS
Post by: rm471 on Wednesday 18 August 10 05:08 BST (UK)
Hello,

I am looking for a christening record for Francis Williams who was born between 1799-1801.  He lived in St. Clements Parish and is listed on the 1841, 1851, and 1861 census records.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

Hi, I have checked the St. Clements Parish Reg. between 1795 and 1812 no baptism listed there for your Francis Williams. Regards Terry

Hi, just noticed in 1861 census is place of birth given as St. Marys and not St. Clement, but still nothing there between 1796 and 1804. Regards Terry

Bit of a long shot but you never know, on Cornwall OPC there is a baptism 5 miles from St Clement at Veryan 6 Jan 1802 parents Francis & Blanch. Siblings Maria 1 Jul 1798, John 27 Jun 1784, William 5 Mar 1786, Mary 6 Oct 1793 all bap Veryan.

Looks like Francis senior married Blanch Bennet(t) in Probus either 1 Aug or 10 Oct 1783 (familysearch.org pilot site England marriages)

If it's not right at least it rules another parish out!

Thanks Shirl!

I will take a look at this family.  The birthdate is close and the location is close enough to be a possibility.

I only saw three Francis Williams in the database with birthdates close to the one I was looking for.  I'll do some research on all three. :)
