Tony,

Can you give some idea of the area of the country?  Wright is a very common name  :-\

Hello Nell,

Walter Samuel Wright was born 1902 St George in the East.
Alfred Frances wright was born approx 1866 St George in the East
Alfred Hobson Wright was born 1841 Feltham Hounslow.

I think I have fairly good information on these three - it is Alfred Hobson Wright's parents John Wright (Solicitor) and Sarah Wright (nee Hobson and later Alger) where the trail goes cold - I would like to try and trace the name (Wright) back further than them if possible.

What I also thought - is that I might come across some current Wright's tracing the same tree?

cheers

Tony Wright

Tony

I have information about Harriet Hobson, born 1815 Ardwick le Street in South Yorkshire, who married Charles Wright born 1791.   Charles had two daughters - Mary Elizabeth and Ann Wright from an earlier marriage.  Charles and Harriet had three children Harriet, Charles and George.   Charles had a brother called George  Wright (b 1795) who was a farmer of 250 acres at Park Lane Hall, Hatfield, Thorne, Yorkshire.

I am not sure if there is any connection, but if you can find one between your Wrights and my Wrights we may also find a connection between Sarah Hobson and Harriet Hobson.  Sorry, but I have very limited Wright information.

Regards
