I received some wonderful information previously about John Daintry born 1819 who was transported to Australia for 7 years as a 14 year old boy. It has come to my attention that he may be the son of Elizabeth 1791-1864? who married an unknown Daintry/Daintree and one of at least 4 children, Joseph, William and Samuel. William seems to have been convicted and transported to Australia too, arriving in Sydney in 1839. Is there anyone who can corroborate this information please? I don't know where to start looking to make sure that all these people belong to the same family.
Thanks
Daree

Is this the same John we discussed in http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=462339.new;topicseen#new ?

Hi Shep
Yes this is the same John Daintry. Since then I have received more information which could link to this man. I am unsure, so trying to check the details. If what I have now been told is linked to John, then it would mean there is another Daintry in Australia who was his brother, and also transported for his crimes. Maybe through him I can get the parents and siblings information. All a bit up-in-the-air really.
Anything that can be added to this puzzle would be appreciated. A reunion is planned for John's descendants late next year, so trying to piece everything together first is becoming difficult.
Regards
