Do you have any information about her already? have you found her in 1901 and 1911 census? did she stay in Ireland?
-
I got her from the Census in 1901 but nothing in 1911, no idea if she went anywhere else
-
Could you post the link to her in 1901 census please.
Since you don't know what happened to her after 1901 does that mean you've found her in earlier records?

That record is my ancestors but i've struggled to find if Lizzie was one of those died, but i haven't found any of the others who died either.

Hi,
An Elizabeth Stevenson whose father was Hugh married George McCann on 21 Jul 1909 in Ulsterville Presbyterian Church, Shankill, Belfast. They appear on the 1911 census in House No13, St Aubyn, Duncairn Ward. Elizabeth is aged 20.

thanks for that information,
I've checked it and the only evidence I have that would maybe corroborate it is her brother Alexander was married in the same church in 1911. But i've looked into the possible marriages of the other siblings and they have married in different churches so I am not absolutely sure about it.
thanks

David,
The general tradition is to marry in the wife's church, so you wouldn't necessarily expect all Lizzie's siblings to marry in the same church.

Thanks Elwyn
I've looked at my information and Lizzie's future sister in law was a visitor, she was English, on the day of the census so I am assuming that she went to the same church that lizzie or the family did?
It is a stretch but it is all I have at the moment
Cheers

David,
Yes, I agree, if the fiancee was English, I'd expect her to attend Lizzie's family church. (Assuming she was of a Protestant faith.)

Hi Elwyn
Thanks for the advice, her faith was Church of England.

Just in case it helps...
I expect this is her parents marriage -

Hugh's father being Alexander Stevenson
Maria's being Hugh Blair
For this couple Ancestry Ireland has the births of

James Kennedy 1876
Eliza 1878
Annie Steele 1880
Sarah 1883
Alexander 1885
