Hello, found some "medals" in a box - has Grand Middlesex Banner with a kangaroo in the middle. Along the top says Queen Alexandra and then wording is not clear. The other medal with it is to Commemorate the Silver Jubilee 1910 - 1935. Would just like to know what they were for if anyone can help. Thanks.

Hi Kimbo,
I only learnt the following by doing a quick web search, so I'm not an expert, but I did come across a (fairly awful to look at) website which mentioned the following about the Order of Buffalos (a fraternal society):
1st year your classed as a kangaroo (of all things)
then through procedure you raise to Certified Primo, you stay at that for 3 year, then raise to Knight Order of Merit and stay there for 5 year, then raise to Roll of Honour. But you have to have full attendances to the lodge each and every year to achieve the next level.

There's a Rootschat thread from a while back which might have some useful info:

If you do a web search for "Grand Middlesex Banner" you'll find a bit more about them.
1935 was the silver jubilee of George V and Queen Mary, I think.
Hope that helps :)
Cheers
