Title: Corporal Leonard Percy Baker (Sittingbourne) - Killed Italy 16 July 1944
Post by: sleo on Friday 13 August 10 14:04 BST (UK)
Corporal Baker served in 2nd Battalion King's Liverpool Regiment and was killed in action during the liberation of a village called San Leolino during the Allied advance north of Arezzo on July 16 1944.

There was an enquiry about him on here in April 2008 by his nephew *posted by Bornnbred* and I would like to make contact with his family as I have some further information about the circumstances of his death which I feel sure they would like to know.

Corporal Baker is commemorated on Murston War Memorial in Sittingbourne and has a grave in Arezzo War  Cemetery.
