Hi & welcome to RootsChat

Do you have any more information?  Grandmother's name, other members of the families, year of birth/marriage/death etc.  It all helps to narrow down the search

Hi Linda

Thankyou for the response.
Yes, this is the family I am reseaching.
My Great Grandmother was Daisy!. At age 18 she gave birth to my Grandmother; Grace. Father-unknown. I have managed to find family information in the 1911 Census. However, I can find no trace of her after that. She may have married and may have had more children. In which case my mother, aunt and uncle may have unknown relations on the Hopgood side.

Are you trying to trace your family back in time or forward from Daisy?  You need to be aware that we are not allowed to post details of (potentially) living people on RootsChat, so any discussions about them would have to be through the Personal Messaging (PM) system.

If you click on the user name at the left of a post, you can see when they were last online.

Once your number of posts = 3 or more you can use the PM system.  Just click on the little green scrolly thing under their name.

Hello Andrew

You're talking about my grandmother's family!  My grandmother was Daisy Hopgood.  Father was William, born in Grazley and her mother was Alice Fulbrook.  Daisy married James Henry Styles(Harry) and came to Canada in 1919.

Hi to Gypsy Lee

You may or may not be aware that Daisy had a child in 1911 named Grace (nickname Dolly). Grace was adopted and Daisy later married Henry Styles.

Grace was my maternal Grandmother. She married Stanley Wiggins and they had three children. and nine Grandchildren. Subsequently there are now Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

If you want to know more about the Reading arm of the family, I can send a family tree (as I understand it).

Best regards and kind wishes

Andrew P.
