I am interested in the family of James Goggins and his wife Mary (b. Newman). The family lived near Hamilton in Tasmania. James was born in County Westmeath, Ireland and was transported in 1848, arriving in Tasmania in 1849. After completing his sentence he returned to Ireland and brought his wife and family back to Tasmania.
James and Mary's daughter married Nehemiah Rogers and his son John married twice, first to Margaret Patterson then to Bridget Hanlon.
I would like to make contact with any descendants of this family. I have a great deal of information to share, and would be interested in learning more about any members of the family.

I've just stumbled across your post and would like any information you have to share on the Rogers/Goggin/Newman families. I am descended from Nehemiah and Mary Rogers, Mary Zipporah Rogers, Nellie Fisher and Annette Ikin. I believe that you wrote a book on the history of the Goggins and Rogers families and would love to buy a copy.
