Title: Robert AUSTIN Chippenham 1818

Hi

On the IGI I have found a Robert Austin marrying a Margaret Freeman on the 7th Dec 1818.

If anybody has access to these records I am after the baptisms of any children between 1818 and 1825.  Also Robert Austins burial details.

Hiya

A look at the Parish Register fiche for Chippenham St Andrews confirms that the only child baptised to a Robert & Margaret AUSTIN (between 1819 and 1825) is Mary as already mentioned:-

- 19 Mar 1820 Mary Dibley dau of Robert & Margar (sp) AUSTIN of Chippenham, Butcher

There were a few other AUSTIN couples reproducing at the time, but just the one child for Robert.

There seems to be butchery in the AUSTIN blood!:-
Pigot's Directory 1830 - Chippenham Butchers - George AUSTIN of Back Lane - James AUSTIN of High Street
Pigot's Directory 1842 - Chippenham Butchers - James AUSTIN at High Street - Joseph AUSTIN at Market Street.
