Title: Mary McAdam b1880 Jamestown, Bonhill
Post by: parkstonemeg on Tuesday 10 August 10 11:39 BST (UK)
I am trying to find out what happened to Mary McAdam b1880 Jamestown Bonhill after the 1901 census where she was still living with her family.  Her father was John b. Bonhill 1838/40 and mother Elizabeth nee McLeod of Latheron b 1850. Mary had a twin brother John Sutherland McAdam whose descendants and those of two other brothers: Alexander and William I have traced. Any leads would be appreciated.  :)

Just read your post. Is the John McAdam you mention the same person who in the 1841 Census lived at Jameston on Damhead, Bonhill with his parents John and Janet along with his brothers James and William? Also on the 1851 Census was he living at Dumbarton Road, Jamestown, Bonhill with his grandfather John McAdam, his mother Janet and other family members? His Grandfather John McAdam was my Grt, grt, grt Grandfather. Thank you.

I am trying to connect this McAdam line with family members who went to America and who are distantly related to my Morrison line. Has anyone done Y-DNA testing for your line?

Thanks...
