Rescanned at a higher resolution. If there any way that a photo faded this badly could be restored I would be grateful. Thanks!

Hi Robert :)
You will get much better results if you are able to rescan this picture at a higher resolution. This seems to be only 150 dpi which means that we can't enlarge it to work on the details, as it just goes really blurry.
If you're unsure of how to go about this, see the tutorials at the top of the Resources board:

Is this any better :)

It is, thank you. I will try to obtain the original this weekend and rescan at a higher resolution.

I've been nursing the old back again (not much I can do) so here is my guess at the lady on the left in the front row

Hi rparker2, I'm very new to learning adobe photoshop elements9, only 6 months and learning on my own. I hope you like thie restored verion of your family gathering. After awhile I feel like I get to know the people in the photo from looking at them so much. Some even start to remind of of actresses and actors after awhile..If you have other photos you'd like help with , let me know, thanks, tommyfromri p.s. I had to downsize the photo to apply here..just resize it

This is really tricky - and whereas it has been fun to play with, I'm not at all sure that this is an improvement - I cannot do face reconstruction - as you can see!! :'( :o ::) ;D
