It's not quite a 'new' topic and for this I apologise. But I am seeking information from Leelou - who is an obvious relative of mine, since she exists as a result of the birth (around 1846) of Joseph - the son of William Pedley and his second wife, Charlotte.
I had been browsing the archives and came across the exchanges between Leelou and various other members about William, his first wife Susanna, Charlotte, and Joseph, (who was born before William and Charlotte were married in 1861...!)
All these exchanges brought me to the conclusion that here was another cousin -Leelou - living in Wolverhampton, with whom I have had no conversation. But another cousin - Avendel, in Canada - HAS had exchanges...
I decided that it was time I introduced myself to my Wolverhampton cousin.
So, Leelou, if you are still about on Roots, would you care to say Hello to Cousin Jim in Birmingham?

Leelou has not been online on Rootchat since 25th April

Hello, CaroleW,
Thanks for the information about Leelou. I'll see if I can get a response from her.
Thanks again for coming back to my request.

Hi there!
I got your message.
I have very little info about my Pedley relatives even though it is the name I have tried to research. My roots chats friends have helped me in the past too!

Hi
great to hear from you. Super to see that I have other relatives who are researching my tree too. Keep in touch. I have sent you a message. The info I have going back this far has been found by other roots chat people. Check my postings for the info I have. My dad who's mom was a Pedley is so impressed that we have found someone else, however distantly related!

Lou: Forgot to include where I was living in Birmingham. It's on the Woodgate Valley estate. It's a nice council estate with a country park running through it.
We bought the house about 25 years ago, and have recently had to gravel the front garden because I can no longer do the rounds of gardening like I used to.
Mind you, Joan can manage to water a few containers, so we are not completely devoid of colour...!
That's all for now.
Regards,
Jim :)
