I have found two Puddingtons in the 1901 index who seem to be far away from the family for some reason. Can you tell me who they were with and where please :
James Arthur Puddington (altho he is indexed as Paddington)
aged 15 born Haywards Heath. He is in Cornwall.
William J Puddington 10 born Haywards Heath. He is in Plymouth, Devon.
Why are these lads so far from home ?

I knew his sister had married but not that she was in Plymouth. When I saw Plymouth I thought he had been press ganged to the navy or something !!!!!!

Now I am wondering why a guy from London would want to come to plymouth to be a shopkeeper !!!!

There is nothing on the census to say he did.
He could have just been visiting his sister and her husband and happened to be there on census night.
