Here's a lovely scene, looks like a school yard with most playing in a sand pit whilst one little girl is set on selling icecream.
I would appreciate image improvement if possible.
Thanks, Roy

Looking at the small boy at the back with his coat open showing a sort of jersey with striped tie
I would say 1930`s but that article of clothing was worn when I was at primary school in the 1940`s. It was a grey harsh knitted garment with a striped knitted tie combined.Look at any school photo of those years and many boys wore them --they may even have been a wartime " utility" garment in which case 1940`s
what a lovely photo, I have one of a Wall`s Ice Cream seller--full size! where the cart is attached to a tricycle " Stop Me And Buy One " Viktoria.

Thanks Em and I agree, it is a lovely photo, the same of it I don't know any of the childrens names. All the photos I am posting on RootsChat have been loaned to me, some in a terrible state, but thanks to members kindness they are being repaired. I love these old photos, such care was taken by the early photographers, they seem to capture the person far better than the quick snapshot we tend to get today.
Many thanks for your help, Roy

Is it true that a well known contraceptive manufacturer turned that slogan around to promote their products? "Buy me and Stop one"

Thanks Jan
And there was me thinging it was home made. As a yound lad growing up in the village I do remember having my sword and shield for St. David's Day made by a local carpenter as did many of my friends and I simple thought the young girl had her cart made the same way. Just goes to show things are not always as one would imagine.
Thank you again for sharing the link

Talking about the icecream man, Can anyone remember seeing an old man coming around with a cart every so often to sharpen your knifes and scissors with a round grinding stone, He did them in the street while you waited, I can also remember some one in James street selling faggots and peas , They were great, better than all rubbish the kids eat now,I was only a young lad but i can remember,Good days i think so.
