Can someone please make a search in the Hendon newspapers for a death of a Albert Leslie Webster who died in 1970 sep qtr Hendon aged 54. I would like the names of his family please (wife, children, grandchildren)

Hi
Unless he was someone of some level of prominence there may not be an obituary, but the family may have inserted a death notice giving information about the funeral and listing their first names and relationships.
Since you only know the quarter of his death that could require a rather lengthy search of up to 3 months to look for it and without knowing precisely where he died in Hendon registration district perhaps in several newspapers.
Your first step is really to purchase the death certificate to gain a precise date for a lookup.

Barnet Archives and Local Studies Centre (covering the Hendon area) hold copies of local newspapers
http://www.barnet.gov.uk/index/leisure-culture/libraries/archives.htm
There are many people requesting lookups on the London and Middlesex board but few people if any at this point offering to do them in local archives. Once you know the precise date of his death you may want to contact Barnet Archives direct and request a lookup from them. They may charge depending how long the lookup would take. Or once you have the precise date of his death post again with the information on this topic and see if someone will offer, you might be lucky.

Hi Kitti Bee
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the delay in responding
Leslie Webster married a Nell and I'm not sure if that is a Nick name though, they had 2 children.
Albert Leslie Webster was my grandmothers youngest brother and was born and raised in Toxteth, Lancashire
If you know anymore information that might help it would be appreciated, thanks

I should have looked out the box, my aunty was always insistent he married a girl from London, thanks very much for your help. It is the correct family as their first child was born in Yorkshire and their second in London.
