Hi all,
Under a F.O.I request I have just found that Oldham Council is looking after only 6 graves in perpetuity , but have been told that anyone with the papers showing the grave was bought in perpetuity can get them "reinstated". If anyone wants to send me a copy of any perpetuity papers for Oldham cemeteries I will ensure they are passed on

Hi Roy
My name is Jessica and I am a reporter at the Oldham Advertiser newspaper.
Your forum post came up on a Google Alert today and I thought it was rather interesting.
I wondered if you could contact me at work so I can discuss the FOI request you submitted.
My email address is (*) and my work number is (*).
I would like to get hold of a copy of the FOI request and response you recieved to see if I can develop a story about the very small number of graves being held in perpetuity - I would have thought there should be more than just six.
Kind regards
Jessica
