looking for Information On Pearson Family in and around Salford. Have some Marriages and census. Henry Pearson John Pearson.
-
As Salford is a big area to search, can you advise what information you have found from other census records. If you give addresses, names and ages this will give an idea where to start looking and how best to help.
regards
dinkey

As Dinkey says you need to provide more specific names/dates/addresses, etc so someone can try to help.
Pearson in Salford really is too vague. Its a very common name.
To give you some idea, I have 3 different Pearsons who have married into different parts of my tree who, at this stage, appear unconnected.
If you can give more info I'm sure someone here can help you

Hi Mark,
I think I am probably one of the relatives you are looking for. My Great Grandmother was called Ann Pearson, she was the daughter of John Pearson and Sarah Ann Walters and the sister of HENRY, James and Sarah Jane. I think your Henry was my Ann's brother, what you state about siblings/parents ties in with the details I have. Although there are a couple of things that are incorrect. Please contact me and I will pass on the information I have about the family Henry left in Salford. :)

Hi Markp & Jeanes1, i am not sure if you are aware that there are 9 graves in Weaste cemetery Salford. With a total of 36 people buried in them. Now the for the not so good news, the only way to get any futher information on who/which PEARSON's they are, you will have to pay for transcribes of the burial records. I know they charge £6 for them and will inform you of any further updates as and when the find any other Pearson's buried in Weaste cemetery. Might be worth you two sharing the cost?

Hi
I have details and a photo of 1 of the graves at Weaste which contained 2 pearsons, Rachel & Richard. They are buried with several Barlows. Their daughter Mary married Samuel Barlow.
I got the information from the Monumental inscriptions for Weaste which is held in Salford Local History Centre. They are contained in several books, all the sections have not been transcribed yet. I used them to find Sandifords, Barlows and the Pearsons were a bonus.
I recently went to photograph some other graves which i had seen only to find that the gravestone had been removed. There is a lot of subsidence and gravestones are being removed left right and centre.
Thanks Migky for reminding me. Will try to get to Salford Centre and check for other 34 Pearsons!.
Bye

Hi
Managed to transcribe Pearson's buried at Weaste.
Cemetery is divided into 12 sections Jan-Dec. Not all areas have been transcribed.
Have included all in graves as some information is not clear.
Included what information was available.
Found some of my relatives hope this helps others. Original transcription is at Salford Local History Library. Don't think additions to the graves have been added since first done.
Hope this helps
Have a Merry Christmas
