I am trying to trace the Dann family who, I believe came over from Ireland between 1841 and 1851. They were in the Alverstoke area. Alexander Dann my great grandfather married Jane Bulger in Alverstoke. His father Alexander married in Ireland.

Yes. That is the family. I could not find them on the 1841 census so I assumed they came over from Ireland as Alexander, snr, Alexander, jnr, and his siblings all put Ireland as place of birth.

Hi,
May not be much help to you as there are not many records for Cork.
I don't know if you have checked the public trees on Ancestry - there are several for the Dann family from Cork.

Hi Sue
Yes I have checked the public trees but it is something that has to be done regularly as new people come on.
