Hi,
can anyone help me with this chap, Frederick Henry FROST b. 1889 Marylebone, London, Middlesex, Married Violetta Allen.
I'm looking for his death, apparently he just up and left the family around 1923 and was never since of again. Someone said that he may have gone to Australia, I have looked but can't find him here. His son come to look for him in Australia at the age of 16 but didn't find him either.
Anyone with any info on this family, it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards Tracey

Hi Tracey,
Can't see any obvious hits here: http://www.findmypast.co.uk/passengerListPersonSearchStart.action
He might have gone under an assumed name, though.
What were his parents' names (he might have picked his mother's maiden name as an alias?), and his occupation?
-
Hi, His father's name ...Peveril Frost, Mother Louisa...I don't know her maiden name...his occupation was blacksmith...
thanks :)
-
Could this be the parents marriage- in June 1885 in Derby?
Long way from London though ;)

Hi Tracey,
Just wondering if you ever had any sucess tracking down the whereabouts of Frederick Henry Frost? He was my great-grandad and I've been trying to trace where he ended up for quite some time!
Kind regards
Glenn

Hi Tracey and others!
I was very interested to find this site and info and questions about Frederick Henry Frost. My Grandma was Violetta Frost nee Allen, my Dad was the only child of her second marriage to John Morris Barrow. Now, of course, all the children of this first marriage have died, but the next generation would love to find out what happend to Frederick. I believe he was an officer in the first World War and won the DSO and I am trying to find more information on that.
If anyone has more info I would be most interested.

Has anyone pursued the death found in reply #6, to rule it in or out?

The one dying in 1948:
Probate index entry -

Hi Gill

His original marriage...
Marriages Dec 1910
Allen Violetta Edmonton 3a 976
Frost Frederick H Edmonton 3a 976
But the one to Rosalind (as in Liz's reply #11) was even earlier,so probably not the same man?
Marriages Dec 1907
FROST Frederick Henry Wandsworth 1d 938
LEE Rosalind Ethel Wandsworth 1d 938

Well found, Carol. I couldnt spot it.
That probably rules out the 1948 death then.
-
I also want to find out what happened to Frederick Henry Frost as he is my great grandfather and my grandfather came out from England in 1928 to find his father who apparently came out to Australia, or Canada. My grandfather is also the first child and his mother Violet Allen's eldest child. I am on ancestry.com. So If anyone has found any info since these posts.... I would love to find out.
There is just a F Frost who was on a ship to Australian in 1921.
Cheers Joanne

Hi Joanne
I have been searching for Frederick Frost for sometime now, but cannot find any record of him. I do have a photo of Violetta Frost with her six young children taken in London I believe. I am happy to scan and send it to you, can you let me have your email address?
Best regards
Gill - daughter of Ivor Barrow, Violetta's son from her second marriage to John Morris Barrow.

Hi Gill,
Sorry that its taken me so long to answer but I have been sick... Yes please I am so excited to find someone from that side. When my grandfather came out he didn't have too many photos. I do remember him talking about his younger brother Ivor but not much. Vera and Audrey kept in contact with them but very spasmodic.
If you have any details on the others and photos are much welcomed. My grandfather died in 2002 but would love to be in contact with this side of the family and not have it forgotten.
Joanne ( if we are able to message from now on great!)

Hi Joanne
Thanks for getting back to me. Hopefully we will now be able to email each other directly. If you can send me your email I will send the photo I have of my Grandma and your Great Grandma (Violetta Frost) with her first six children. I was having another search for Fred Frost on Thursday and found a Fred Frost that arrived in Australia in 1923 and one that died in 1963 and is buried in Boxhill Cemetery in Victoria. I haven't found any link to our family as yet, but it would be great if I could!
Auntie Rene's son Bryan, who lives in Canada, has done a lot of research on the Allen and Frost side of the family. Do you have any contact with him? The only information I have on your Grandad Fred is that he married a Gladys and they had children, Anne and Ronald. Perhaps you can fill me in on a bit more info.
Hope to be in touch again soon.
Best regards
Gill

Hi Gill & Joanne
You now have enough posts to be able to use the personal message system to exchange email addresses and then correspond off-forum.
