Hello Chatters,
I have William BEESLEY married Ann CLACK in 1760 in Standlake and a William BEASLEY
who married Anne FLOREY also in Standlake in 1776
I would love a lookup to see if the former couple had children say between 1760 and 1780 there, or if Ann BEESLEY died before the second marriage in 1776 or
if indeed the William BEASLEY from the second marriage is listed as a widower in the 1776 marriage record.
many thanks Chris

Hi Chris,
From Oxfordshire Marriage Index
18 Sep 1760 Ann Clack, w to William Beesley at Standlake
14 Dec 1776 Anne Florey to William Beasley,w at Standlake
The spelling of Williams surname differs and as you can see he was a widower when he married Anne Florey. Im afraid i cant help with any children as i dont have Standlake PRs, maybe someone else can....
Sue :)
Added... Changed date for Ann Clack Chris.... I did put Dec but it is Sep ...

Found this information for you from Standlake parish registers.
William Beesley married Ann Clack 18/9/1760 when they married Ann was a widow.
Ann died 2nd July 1776 buried at Standlake
William Beesley married Anne Florey 14.12.1776 as you know William was a widower then.
Found one daughter Anne Beasley daughter of William and Anne 5.10.1777
Hope this helps a little let me know if I can help you further.

Iwas in the library today and found the same details
1st marriage - Same details, William was a bachelor and Anne a Widow, both of this parish. Witnesess were John Shephard and Richard Stone
His 2nd marriage had the same details as Toby, William a Widower, Anne a Spinster.
Both marriages were by Banns.
Think William died 9/5/1783 and Anne 11/1/1792.
Couldn't find any children at all in the Index.
