Does anyone have any information regarding Ann(e) Williams who married William Hewitt a tea dealer from Bolton (circa 1840). I believe the couple had ten children of which one died.
Ann was the sister of Catherine Williams who married Burton chadwick.

What kind of information are you looking for??
I notice on another of your posts you state their father is Thomas Williams
If you let us know what information you have that will save duplicate lookups

Sorry I only had (very) sketchy information.
My dates are all slightly wrong. Catherine was actually Ann Williams niece. The daughter of her brother Thomas.
Ann Williams married William Hewitt the tea dealer from Bolton and I think she might have been a Farmer's daughter from North Wales. This marriage must have been maybe 1850 and it is her I am interested in.
Sorry for the confusion

Hello,
there is a marriage on Free BMD June quarter 1851 Holywell
Hannah Williams and William Hewitt are possible spouses.

This is perhaps your family but then Ann wouldn't be the right age to marry in 1851 :-\

Ann Williams who is the servant in this census is more likely to be related to Catherine and Thomas Williams -it looks like Thomas gives his p.o.b. as Whitford Flints
I think you really are mixed up with this - and you need to be as accurate as possible as looking for Williams in Wales can be very complicated.
Please could you tell us what information you have
Catherine Barbara Williams was the daughter of Thomas
could you tell us which census you have Thomas in and his d.o.b. and p.o.b.
Could you also tell us where Ann Williams fits in - at first you were stating Ann was the sister of Catherine - now you are saying Ann was Catherine's neice -daughter of her brother Thomas -but Catherine's father was Thomas????

Really sorry..I meant Catherine was Ann's niece. Ann (who married William Hewitt poss 1850 ish)and Thomas ( Catherine's father) were siblings from a Welsh farming family.
I would be interested to know where the farm was?
I think the Ann who was a servant is a confusing irrelevance.
again apologies for my lack of logic..

As suzard says Williams and Wales is very difficult.
Somewhere in your scant information, you know about William the tea dealer so that may be a start.
You could get a birth certificate for one of the children to ensure you are on the right track.
Then you have a connection with Thomas - what do you know about him- place and year of birth for example.
There is an 1860 marriage- Chorlton on Medlock - possible spouses.
I can't see the couple in 1861 though.
1881 Ann gives her p o b as Llanwain (?) Montgomeryshire
1891 Ann born Machynlleth, Montgomeryshire
Does this help or fit in with what you know?

So we can rule out the 1871 census -William Hewitt age 34 and Ann wife age 33????
Why do you think the marriage took place in 1850 ?
Have you found the marriage???
Could you give d.o.b. and p.o.b. for Thomas Williams (father of catherine and brother of Ann??)
We can then look for Thomas and Ann with parents
