Post by: pompey welsh on Monday 12 July 10 16:22 BST (UK)
hi, thought I'd give it another go to see if anyone has any info on thomas and Elizabeth hunt (ford), supposedly both from battersea, they married in London in 1905 (have cert), cannot find either births, they were in wales in 1911, they had 7 kids, Frederick Francis, William and Alice (twins) all born battersea, then Sidney, Hetty, thomas, Doris, jack, i know Elizabeth came back to London as she died in 1969 in wandsworth, Doris also died in London as did Alice, jack married in London so i know Hetty and Sidney stayed in wales...other than this I'm stumped, any tiny bit of help would be very much appreciated. thank you

PompeyWelsh,
Elizabeth Hunt's death in 1969 would this be?

Elizabeth A Hunt, registered Wandsworth Mar 1969, age 83 5e 853

Date of birth about 1886.

Are the ages given on marriage cert or simply "21 or over, of full age" or similar?

Have got Thomas/Elizabeth and family (1st three children) in Wales. Checked his signature on the 1911 Census return wondering about the possibility of a middle initial - no such luck.

regards

1891 Census
Thomas Ford, Head, 39, General Labourer, b. Westminster
Sarah Ford, Wife, 36, b. Fulham
Tom Ford, Son, 10, b. Westminster
Jane Ford, Dau, 5, b. Westminster
Elizabeth Ford, Dau, age 4, b. Westminster
Address - 50 Carpenter St, Battersea. Civil Parish = Battersea.

How do the marriage cert details (father's name/occp'n) fit with the above?

regards
