BridgetM, thank you very much, that's the fella.
I have so few non-UK connections that it doesn't make an International sub worth while. Without kind people like you, I'd be lost.
Olga Cummings Murison <- what a wonderful name :D

:o :o :o
I am speechless. SO much information in those Anc posts. I really should add Anc boards to my default search routine.
Thank you.
Anc indexes indicate there maybe a 30A for Olga but I'll stick that in a separate request.

Hello Mongrel Nation:
This is my first posting and I may not be doing it right.
I read your postings from July 11th to July 18th about Samuel Findlay Bell who was born 1900 in Saltcoats and who left for Canada in 1922 or 1923.
Will you contact me please?
Thanks,
-
BonnieBell welcome, please post a few morw times, perhaps on another board, or on here, then you will be allowed to private message and send each other email addresses ( do not post it directly onto a reply)
MN I see you want to make a new posting re: Olga? but she is already mentioned on this thread, so please confine your questions about her to this thread. The server doesn't need the weight, and really we all see your requests, so it does us no favours if something gets a double lookup...J.J.

I would like to reach poster Mongrel Nation in regards to the enquiry for Samuel Findlay Bell b. 1900 of Saltcoats Ayrshire. I am related into this family through Samue's mother Jessie Caldwell Kerr of Saltcoats/Stevenston/
My cousin is actually the daughter of Samuel F. Bell and lives in Ontario Canada. Her and I share the Kerr ancestry.
We are both anxious to learn more of Samuel's other marriage.
Cheers

searcher41,
You should have a private message with my email address.
It's great to hear from someone from Jessie's family!
I suspect we may have brushed by before about Andrew Bryce Bell?

Welcome to rootschat, Searcher41..You'll need to post a few more times in order to send or receive private messaging

Thanks for the reply to the forum, and yes, I do recall a contact regarding Andrew Bryce Bell of Ayrshire, that was many years ago.
I will look forward to reading your reply to me directly.
I have two marriages for Andrew, an interesting man.

On the subject of the Bell's of Ayrshire. There has been contact recently, within the last few weeks in regards to the family of Adam Reid Kinnen Bell another brother of Samuel Findlay Bell. That in itself is an interesting story as the question was as to how he was given the second names of Reid and Kinnen so as a REID reseacher, I was able to take the genealogy back to Adam Reid about 1800 of Newton Upon Ayr.
So there is much more family waiting to meet with you,
All the best Linda

Linda,
Ahhhhh, that makes sense - was wondering if Adam really existed or not as I had his middle name down as Kinnon and was hitting a bit of a brick wall.
