I'm looking for the marriage of Richard PESKETT and Elizabeth ? married prior to 1800. Richard was christened in 1777 in Midhurst,Sussex and Elizabeth was from Odiham, Hampshire. They both died in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Richard's will states he was from Farnham in Surrey.
Their first child Ann, was christened in Odiham in 1800 born ?. The second child William, was born in Godalming, Surrey in 1803. Several subsequent children were born in Godalming and baptised in Odiham.
I have checked the parish records for Odiham but have found no mention of the marriage. Perhaps someone with records for the other towns mentioned may be able to help me out.
I believe that prior to Richard that the last name was spelt PESCOD.
Thanks,
Gerald

I've recently started pulling together my husband's complete family history (both parents and all 4 grandparents) and his paternal grandmother was a Peskett.
The furthest back I've been able to get so far is his gt gt grandfather, George Peskett (b. 1830 in Godalming). If I have the right christening record, it appears that his parents were William and Sarah Ann Peskett.
I'd be grateful for any help and information that might help me to confirm this and provide a bit more detail. It sounds like you have lots of stuff, but I might be able to fill in some more recent gaps for you.
I'd also be interested to know how and where you fit into the grand Peskett scheme!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
