Looking for any information on the Mawhera dredger its origin and its crew or photographs.
I think it may have been built in Renfrew, Scotland in about 1890 - 1900 ish, and that it was delivered to Australia manned or crewed by the craftsmen finishing her en route.
It may have been used as a gold dredger somewhere in "Australia"
Would anyone know if there is a crew listing for its passage from Scotland to Australia, or any suggestions where I might locate one. Any information would be most welcome.

Hi
I'm not sure if there were several Mawhera dredges but 1908 there was one in Greymouth NZ (Mawhera being the original name for Greymouth)
Google brings it up
A bit here
