Hello
Burton Chadwick married Catherine Barbara Williams in 1903. I would be grateful for any information regarding the Williams family. I believe Burton Chadwick became an MP so probably easier to follow up but it is the Williams family that I am interested in.
Any information though gratefully received.

Have you looked them up on the 1911 census to determine Catherine's birthyear and birthplace or have you checked freebmd for a birth entry? There are 2 but in different counties
Do you have a copy of their marriage cert showing her fathers name
USING THE FREE 1911 INDEX
http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx
Once you find the right person - make a note of the county and district in which they were living
Return to the index and in PERSONAL DETAILS - just put the surname of the family - nothing else
In LOCATION - Select the county and below it - type in the district
In OTHER MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD - show the name of the person you have found on the index
Click SEARCH

I know you've got to be careful of wikipedia, but this says her father is a Thomas Williams. Needs checking of course (thepeerage.com also says father is Thomas, I think the source used there is Burkes Peerage so should be correct)

Thanks..I know her father was Thomas Williams and that she was one of maybe even ten children.

Free BMD has him as Robert Burton Chadwick. marriage at Chorlton. Mar qtr 1903.
What does the mariage certificate have about Thomas ` occupation.

To: wilcoxon 7#: "Thank you for your message and your interesting suggestion that the Williams' family owned Black & Green tea. Regarding the Williams' family, my Great-grandfather married Anne one of the Williams' sisters and they lived in Bolton. May I enquire whether you are a member of the Williams' family and did they live in or near St.Asaph?
To: karinclark 5#: Thank you for your informative response. My Great-grandfather married Anne Williams and was friendly with her brothers. They started the Black & Green's tea, which was based in Bolton. Did the Williams family live in or near St. Asaph?
One of the contacts mentioned Fox Hall, Llandyrnog - could it possibly be that we are all related!!!!!!

Hello...My great grandmothers sister married a Williams...My gr uncle David Ffloulkes Roberts has lodged a lot about his side of the family history with the Welsh Archivist but his grand daughter and I are in contact as we share the same 5th G Grandparents. I have information, a copy of the notes in his diary as he basically put together our family history. I have got photographs of Tommy Williams and Willy Williams taken in Buckley with the family if you want them I can send them. I dont know about a sister Ann its not mentioned but the reference to B and G tea is...if you want a copy of the transcript. As for the St Asaph connection. tentatively yes...but I dont know about the Williams side. The Roberts side lived in both Denbigh and Buckley and Llong, which is outside Mold. They farmed in Llandyrnog, Llaneffydd etc. Denbigh is about 7 miles from St Asaph so its possible...if you want to email me you can...its (*)...bestwishes...Karin
