hi everyone, can anyone help me with tracing the grave of thomas hoysted.
he was agent to the earl of kildare and buried in kilkea
-
Have you any birth date or place born Mugsy ?
-
thomas hoysted he lived at Foxhill Athy.. and before he became the agent to the Earl he was lt of Marines in the Battle of Malaga in 1704

hi
Why do you need the grave traced if you know that he is buried in kilkea? Surely just go to kilkea and take a stroll around the cemetery?

Perhaps mugsy is wanting to know if there is a gravestone, if anyone else is buried in the plot, etc. and of course we don't know mugsy's location so a stroll around the cemetery might not be an option at the moment.

hi aghadowney
yes you are right, we don't know his location.
i tell you what, if that graveyard is in county kildare, then i have no problem going down and taking a peak for him next weekend, as long as its alright with him of course?
muggsy, just tell me what you want.
all the best

hi mugsy
yes it is my hobby, i do like to help people, it kind of helps me too with my own family history. Yes I will pop into there, its about an hour from my house, but i cannot see a cemetery on google earth, any idea where it is in relation to the village, and is it a protestant or catholic one?
all the best
