Hi June :)

You could look on Genfair website which lists many of the CDs that local FHS have for sale.

Alternatively, you could see if the Hertfordshire FHS has a website with a list of their transcriptions on CD.

Hi June,

I made an extensive search at HALS for the baptism  of William  LAWRENCE in all parishes at St.Albans for the period 1777-1793 but regret no luck.

Regards   ...   Peter

My grateful thanks to you Peter for doing that, I wonder where he could be then. I have him in the 1851 census which states he was born in st.Albans. and in the 1841 census it says he was not born in the county, which happened to be Marylebone where I found him and his wife and children. so this is a mystery with him.
thank you once again for trying.
regards, JUNE.
