Title: Lookup Please - 1841 Census - Ann McKenzie
Post by: Sheepherder on Saturday 03 July 10 10:31 BST (UK)
I have hit a brick wall looking for data for an Ann McKenzie who was born about 1818 and married a William Murdoch in St Cuthberts Edinburgh on the 7 May 1838.  At the time of the marriage Ann was living at No 60 Cumberland Street (Edinburgh).  In 1940 Ann and William moved to the London area (Tottenham and later Islington).

Could somebody please check the 1841 census to see in there were any other McKenzies at 60 Cumberland Street?

The only other info I have is that Ann's father was a farmer at Bogray in the parish of Kirkhill, Inverness at the time of her marriage.

Thank you.

Hi down-under,

Thank you for going to the trouble to provide this info.  I was hoping that more McKenzies were living at 60 Cumberland Street, that would have given me a pointer to some other family members.  It may be that Ann was related to the families you provided so I will have to dig deeper.  It could also be that Ann was a domestic for the family at 60 Cumberland Street.

I do appreciate the trouble to went to on my behalf.

Regards,
