If anyone has access to the baptism records of Airmyn I'd be very grateful if they could look for the baptism of my 3x great grandmother Hannah Makin in Airmyn in around 1785.
Many thanks

When I next go to the library at Goole I will look this up for you on the microfiche.

Hello again
I have been back to the library once again to view the mircrofiche's for Airmyn.
I have looked through every entry in search of Hannah Makin's baptism, just cannot find it.
As I told you before the microfiche's are copies of the original register, tis very difficult to read in many parts!! and all entries are in in somewhat of a muddled order, difficult to read hand writing, faded ink etc..
Also there is NO other MAKIN entered for any other BMD.
I cannot look at HOOK PR as they do not start on microfiche early enough, these PR are held at Doncaster Archives.
Airmyn & Hook were the only two churches in use in this area, as the parish church in Goole was only built in mid 1800's.
How certain are you that she came from Airmyn?? and the date?? and her surname??
Do you have a marriage for her, it just might give her fathers name on that.
Did her family come from Airmyn/Hook/Goole or where??

I cannot find Hannah Makin at Airmyn on Familysearch.
However, I can find plenty of Hannah's born around that period in Airmyn..... however if you do a search on Airmyn on Familysearch you will get nothing as Airmyn is transcribed as Armin, York, England. If you search on the latter you will see scores of them!
